Description

A refreshing twist on the classic tiramisu, this Berry Tiramisu Trifle combines layers of light mascarpone cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and vibrant mixed berries. It’s the perfect dessert for any occasion, offering a balance of sweetness and a touch of bitterness.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • 2 cups strong coffee (cooled)
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 20 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using). Briefly dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture (don’t soak them, just a quick dip).
  • In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.
  • Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  • Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the cream.
  • Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.

  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can substitute the mixed berries with any fruit you prefer, such as peaches or cherries.
  • For a richer flavor, use a bit more coffee liqueur.
  • The trifle can be made a day ahead for convenienc
