- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- 2 cups strong coffee (cooled)
- 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
- 20 ladyfingers
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using). Briefly dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture (don’t soak them, just a quick dip).
- In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.
- Spread a layer of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the cream.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and decorate with extra berries.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

- You can substitute the mixed berries with any fruit you prefer, such as peaches or cherries.
