A traditional Brazilian dessert combining shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut milk, resulting in a rich and creamy treat that’s both comforting and indulgent.

Ingredients

– 1 tablespoon butter

– 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

– 8 ounces (3 cups) unsweetened shredded coconut

– 1 cup coconut milk

– 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and coconut milk. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to release from the bottom of the pan, approximately 15-20 minutes.

2. Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat. The pudding may appear slightly unset but will continue to thicken as it cools.

3. Pour the mixture into individual serving glasses or a single serving dish.

4. Allow the pudding to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to enhance its flavor and texture.

Notes

– For a decorative touch, consider garnishing with toasted coconut flakes or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.

– This dessert can be served chilled or at room temperature, based on personal preference.

– Ensure constant stirring during cooking to prevent the mixture from sticking or burning.
