Chicken & Avocado Burritos are a flavorful and satisfying meal featuring seasoned chicken, creamy avocado, and a variety of fresh toppings wrapped in a soft tortilla. Perfect for a quick dinner or a packed lunch, these burritos are customizable with your favorite ingredients.

 

Ingredients

– 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– 1 tsp chili powder

– 1 tsp ground cumin

– 1/2 tsp garlic powder

– 1/4 tsp paprika

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1/2 cup salsa

– 1/2 cup sour cream

– 1 avocado, sliced

– 1 cup shredded lettuce

– 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

– 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 4 large flour tortillas

– Lime wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shredded chicken, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes until heated through and well-coated in the spices.

2. Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet until soft and pliable.

3. To assemble the burritos, place a tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a spoonful of sour cream and salsa down the center.

4. Add a portion of the spiced chicken, followed by slices of avocado, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and shredded cheddar cheese.

5. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly, ensuring all the fillings are secured inside.

6. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

7. Serve the burritos with lime wedges on the side for extra flavor. Enjoy!

 

Notes

– For a spicier burrito, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.

– You can swap the cheddar cheese for any cheese you prefer, such as Monterey Jack or Mexican blend.
