Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ranch dressing mix, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, black pepper, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot and top with butter pieces.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir the sauce well to combine.
  6. Serve over rice, pasta, or vegetables. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with steamed rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
  • You can add a little more chicken broth if you prefer a thinner sauce.
  • For a low-carb version, serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
