This zesty Dill Pickle Hot Sauce adds the perfect combination of tangy pickle flavor and spicy heat to your favorite dishes. Great for drizzling on fries, wings, or as a dip for your snacks

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup dill pickle brine (from a jar of dill pickles)
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot or your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill (optional for extra dill flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for more heat)

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the dill pickle brine, white vinegar, hot sauce, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh dill (if using).
  • Let the sauce cool to room temperature, then pour into a bottle or jar.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake well before using.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce and cayenne pepper to suit your spice preference.
  • For a smoother sauce, you can blend the ingredients after simmering for a few seconds.
  • This sauce works wonderfully as a topping for fries, wings, and burgers or as a dipping sauce.
