– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

– 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges.
2. Place the sliced apples into the slow cooker.
3. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
4. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the apples and toss to coat evenly.

6. Dot the butter pieces on top of the apples.
7. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until apples are tender but not mushy.
8. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with a bit of water and stir it into the apples during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
9. Serve warm as a side dish, over pancakes, waffles, or ice cream. Enjoy!
– For a more caramelized flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
