- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil (or butter) in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cauliflower florets and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and continue cooking for another 5 minutes until mushrooms release their moisture.
- Stir in the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and thyme. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth, cover the skillet, and let cook for 3-4 minutes until the cauliflower is tender but still slightly crisp.
- Uncover, season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let any remaining liquid evaporate.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if using) and chopped parsley before serving.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
