Scale
- 2 boneless ribeye or sirloin steaks (6–8 oz each)
- 4 small potatoes, cut into cubes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (or preheat your oven to 400°F/200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil. Place an equal portion of cubed potatoes in the center of each piece of foil.
- Drizzle a spoonful of the garlic butter mixture over the potatoes, then place one steak on top of each pile of potatoes.
- Fold the edges of the foil over the steak and potatoes to form a packet, ensuring it’s tightly sealed.
- Grill the packets for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through (or bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes).
- Carefully open the foil packets, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a more intense garlic flavor, feel free to add extra minced garlic or garlic powder.
- You can also add vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms to the foil packets.
- Be sure to check the steak for your preferred doneness by using a meat thermometer (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
