Soft, chewy, and irresistibly gooey chocolate chip cookies loaded with melty chocolate. Perfect for a comforting dessert or a sweet snack any time of day.

Ingredients

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 cup packed light brown sugar

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; beat until smooth.

4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until fully incorporated.

5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

7. Drop rounded tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers still look soft and slightly underbaked.

9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

– For extra gooey cookies, avoid overbaking; the centers should remain soft.

– Serve warm for maximum gooeyness.

– You can chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
