– 1 lb ground chicken
– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 egg
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1 tsp smoked paprika
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
**Garlic Mayo:**
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– 1 tsp lemon juice
– 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
– Salt & pepper to taste
**For Serving:**
– 4 hamburger buns
– Lettuce leaves
– Tomato slices
– Red onion slices
1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
2. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
4. While the burgers cook, prepare the garlic mayo by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
5. Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
6. Assemble the burgers: spread garlic mayo on the buns, add lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and the cooked chicken patties.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
– You can grill the patties instead of pan-frying them. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook for 4-5 minutes per side.
– For extra juiciness, mix 1 tbsp of Greek yogurt or sour cream into the ground chicken mixture.
– Serve with sweet potato fries or a simple side salad.
