Lazy Cake Cookies are soft, moist, and indulgent cookies that deliver a delightful cake-like texture with minimal effort. Perfect for when you crave a sweet treat without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

• 1 cup all-purpose flour

• 1/2 cup granulated sugar

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

• 1 large egg

• 1/2 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 tsp baking powder

• 1/4 tsp salt

• 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.

6. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.

7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.

9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

– For an extra cake-like texture, avoid overmixing the dough.

– Substitute dairy milk with almond or oat milk for a dairy-free option.

– Baking times may vary slightly depending on your oven; adjust for softer cookies if needed.
