Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (such as Tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the potatoes into fries and toss them in vegetable oil. Spread them out on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Season the fries with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bake the fries for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the ranch dressing and hot sauce to create the voodoo sauce.
  6. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the voodoo sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley (if using).
  7. Serve immediately as a snack, appetizer, or side dish with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • If you prefer extra heat, feel free to add more hot sauce or a pinch of chili flakes to the fries.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the fries before baking.
  • These fries make a great pairing with fried chicken, burgers, or a cold drink on the side.
