A creamy, indulgent dip that captures the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich in a shareable form. Perfect for parties, game days, or casual gatherings.
– 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak, cooked and chopped
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Optional: sliced mushrooms, a dash of hot sauce
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion, green bell pepper, and garlic until soft and slightly caramelized (about 5-7 minutes).
3. If using mushrooms, add them and cook until tender.
4. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
5. Stir in the sautéed vegetables and chopped steak until well incorporated.
6. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish. Evenly sprinkle the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheeses over the top.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
8. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices, tortilla chips, or fresh veggie sticks.
– For extra spice, add a dash of hot sauce into the dip before baking.
– Pre-cooked steak works best, or quickly sauté the steak in the skillet before combining.
– Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or microwave for a quick snack.
