A refreshing and tropical twist on classic lemonade, blending the sweet tang of pineapple with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Perfect for cooling down on a hot summer day.
– 2 cups fresh pineapple juice (or blended fresh pineapple, strained)
– 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4-6 lemons)
– 4 cups cold water
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste; can substitute with honey or agave syrup)
– Ice cubes
– Pineapple slices and lemon wheels for garnish (optional)
1. In a large pitcher, combine the pineapple juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sugar.
2. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Add the cold water and mix thoroughly.
4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Serve over ice and garnish with pineapple slices and lemon wheels, if desired.
– For an extra burst of flavor, muddle a few fresh mint leaves in the pitcher before adding the liquids.
– Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar/honey.
– This lemonade can be easily doubled or tripled for large gatherings.
