Ingredients

Units Scale

5 cups frozen chicken nuggets

1 cup orange marmalade

1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce (or any favorite BBQ sauce)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

Green onion for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Chicken:

  • Once cooked, allow the nuggets to cool slightly while you prepare the sauce.

Make the Sauce:

  • In a medium-sized cooking pan, combine the orange marmalade, BBQ sauce, and soy sauce.
  • Over medium-high heat, warm the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes smooth and bubbly.

Combine Chicken and Sauce:

  • Add the cooked chicken nuggets to the pan with the sauce.
  • Stir the nuggets in the sauce until they are evenly coated and the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve:

Serve the orange chicken over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a dash of red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the mixture.

You can use fresh chicken pieces instead of frozen nuggets for a homemade touch just adjust the cooking time accordingly.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
