Celebrate Easter with these festive, crispy rice treats shaped like eggs. Perfect for a seasonal snack or dessert, they bring a fun twist to the classic Rice Krispie Treats with customizable pastel colors and decorations.

 

Ingredients

– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows

– 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

– Optional: Food coloring (pastel shades), sprinkles, or chocolate drizzle for decoration

Instructions

1. In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.

2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.

3. If using food coloring, add a few drops at this stage and mix until the color is evenly distributed.

4. Remove the pot from heat and gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.

5. Quickly transfer the mixture into egg-shaped molds or form egg shapes by hand on a parchment-lined surface.

6. Allow the treats to cool and firm up. Decorate with sprinkles or drizzle with chocolate as desired.

 

Notes

– Lightly grease the molds to prevent sticking.

– Work quickly with the mixture as it hardens fast.

– For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and ensure marshmallows are vegan-friendly.
