Ingredients

Scale

For the Chocolate Crust Layer:

1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos, finely crushed)

4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 tbsp cocoa powder

For the Matcha Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1 tbsp matcha powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings:

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chocolate Crust Layer:
  • In a bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs, melted butter, and cocoa powder until evenly combined.
  • Divide the mixture evenly into small dessert cups or silicone molds, pressing firmly to create a solid crust.
  • Place in the refrigerator to chill while preparing the matcha layer.
  • Make the Matcha Layer:
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add matcha powder and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Assemble the Cups:
  • Spoon or pipe the matcha layer over the chilled chocolate crust.
  • Smooth the tops with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  • Decorate:
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the cups.
  • Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for an extra chocolatey crunch.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free chocolate cookies.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
