A light and aromatic steamed chicken dish infused with fresh ginger, garlic, and scallions. This healthy recipe delivers tender, flavorful chicken perfect for a nutritious meal.

 

Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs), cut into pieces

– 2 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

– 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 1/4 cup chicken broth

– 2 green onions, thinly sliced

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Optional: red chili slices for added heat

Instructions

1. Season the chicken pieces lightly with salt and pepper.

2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, grated ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and chicken broth.

3. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.

4. Arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer in a heatproof steaming dish.

5. Place the dish in a steamer over boiling water. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.

6. Once done, garnish with sliced green onions and, if desired, red chili slices.

7. Serve immediately with steamed rice or your favorite side.

 

Notes

– Ensure the chicken is evenly arranged to allow proper steaming.

– Marinating longer will intensify the flavors.

– Adjust salt and pepper based on your taste preference.

– This dish is best served hot right out of the steamer.
