Sweet and Savory Glazed Sausage and Potatoes is a hearty one-pan dish featuring caramelized sausage, tender potatoes, and a delicious glaze made with brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and garlic. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In a large bowl, toss potatoes with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
  3. While potatoes roast, mix brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and garlic in a small bowl to make the glaze.
  4. After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Add sliced sausage and drizzle everything with the glaze. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. Return to oven and roast for another 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until potatoes are tender and sausage is caramelized.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use chicken or turkey sausage for a lighter version.
  • Yukon gold or red potatoes work best for this recipe.
  • Add sliced onions or bell peppers for extra flavor and color.
  • This dish pairs well with a side salad or steamed green beans.
