Tricia’s Fantastic Fudge Pie is a rich, decadent dessert featuring a fudgy, almost brownie-like filling. This pie is packed with chocolate flavor and has a slightly crispy top layer with a gooey, molten center. Perfect for chocolate lovers, this pie will be the highlight of any gathering.

Ingredients

– 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/4 tsp salt

– 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips together over medium heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, and salt until smooth.

4. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture and stir until fully combined.

5. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.

6. Pour the batter into the prepared pie crust.

7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. The center will be slightly gooey.

8. Let the pie cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

– This pie is best served at room temperature or slightly chilled.

– You can top the pie with whipped cream or ice cream for extra indulgence.

– To make it gluten-free, use a gluten-free pie crust.

– If you prefer a more intense chocolate flavor, you can use bittersweet chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
